Lynne Hollingsworth is a professional visual artist. As well as exhibiting extensively, she strongly supports Arts in Education and delivers a range of educational and community arts-based projects. As well as offering lectures, INSET, workshops, and mentoring, Lynne also works on large-scale mural projects. Hollingsworth Designs offers the opportunity to work with a professional artist to create an interior or exterior mural for your specific area; inclusive and collaborative mural projects where participants learn about teamwork, designing, painting techniques, and processes. Each project culminates in the completion of a high quality mural that brightens up specific spaces and becomes a talking point for pupils, staff, visitors and the community. Exterior projects take place between May and October. Please book in early to avoid disappointment.

Provision

Provision varies for presentations, workshops and mural projects. Please check with the artist what will be provided for your particular project/session.

  • Presentation materials, training sessions.
  • Risk assessment and health and safety presentation.
  • All leaflets/worksheets on mural project and related topics for young people to keep.
  • All paper/card for young people to design on.
  • Specialist tools and equipment.
  • Documentation materials – photography and film.
  • Drawing up of schemes of work and lesson plans linked to NC levels and attainment targets.
  • Full contracts and risk assessment.
  • Arrangement of marketing, including press coverage.

Artist’s Rates are based on official a-n framework, published as ‘Establishing a charge rate for a working artist 2007/8’. Rates based on professional artist with over 15 years’ experience. Please contact us directly for further information on fees and prices.

Murals For Businesses and the Home

Every space is an individual and personal environment, with its décor reflecting personal tastes. Interiors have a function: some rooms need to reflect a different mood to others, whether it's a place for work or for total relaxation. Hollingsworth Designs offers an exclusive mural decoration service where a specific space or room can take on a new identity, reflecting a new focal point or evoking a specific mood. With our design service, any theme, style or size is considered. As part of the service, Lynne liaises with the client personally to come up with a specific image and style for a specific area. Alternatively you can inform her of the specific image you want.

Consultations and Prices

Hollingsworth Designs offers a personal, no obligation consultation service, where the client can discuss themes, designs and styles with the artist and designer. Quotes for murals will be given after viewing of interior location. The price varies depending on size, design and location.

Materials and Timescales

Whether the mural is a statement for your home or business, you can be assured that Hollingsworth Designs only uses the finest quality materials. We use the highest quality acrylic paint thus ensuring you mural will be:

  • Waterproof and wipe clean so it is ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Non-toxic, ideal for children's bedrooms.
  • Fade resistant and long-lasting.
  • Non-textured, ideal for painting over or papering over in years to come.

Murals are painted and illustrated by hand to the finest detail. Hollingsworth Designs takes a lot of care in creating your mural. Therefore orders should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
