Hollingsworth Designs Ltd Lynne Hollingsworth

Lynne worked with Primary and Secondary schools, Derwent art group and students from Mackworth College. The mural, which creates a warm welcome for shoppers, was painted along the Traffic Street underpass, the main entrance linking the train station to Westfield Derby. As part of this project, Lynne also set up a design competition across Derby Schools where students were invited to design a pattern for a shopping bag, shoes or a t-shirt. The winning designs were to have their drawings included in the mural and displayed on canvas in the Centre’s Parents Rooms. The three winning designs were by Jessica Freeman from Woodlands School, Amy Potter from Beaufort Community Primary School and Olivia Cook from Curzon Primary School. Alongside their work, the designs of other highly commended entries were also included in the mural.
