Lynne worked with a group of students from Woodlands Sixth Form Centre to create a group of large-scale interior murals on all four walls of the Sixth Form Common Room.

“Cool calming colours over-layered with powerful quotations”
The main aim of the mural was to create a relaxing space for students during study periods, whilst also promoting Citizenship. The mural, which covers the entire room, consists of silhouettes of Woodlands Sixth Form Students in cool calming colours over-layered with powerful quotations by influential historical figures such as ‘Knowledge is Power’ by Sir Francis Bacon. The mural was to be Post-Modern in style and to evoke a ‘club lounge’ feel. It’s now a very relaxing yet reflective space which allows students to reflect on the quotations and their interpretation of them.
