Lynne is one of the few to be selected to stand on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square’s for Anthony Gormley’s new art project ‘One and Other’. Her place has been confirmed as Wednesday August 12th from 11pm to 12pm.
‘This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in a large-scale historical artwork, I feel very privileged to gain a place and I hope to use my time wisely by being me up there’
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the project, it takes place over 100 days and every hour a different person will be selected to stand on the plinth. The scene on the plinth will be broadcast 24 hours a day at http://www.oneandother.co.uk . It will also be covered on Sky Arts starting on 10 July. A full-length documentary and a book is also planned to sum up the event, from the first application to the final hour.

Lynne worked on a highly successful project with QUAD Outreach, Arts and Health.
Lynne worked with an art group in Sinfin and led a series of arts workshops on Abstract Art. We looked at the themes of still life and landscape and the sessions were underpinned by contextual studies in art history and in-depth art tecnique demonstrations.
‘It was an inspirational project to work on, working with such a diverse range of participants made it great fun, I learnt so much from the group.’
QUAD brings individuals, communities and artists together to create exciting new art and film. They are committed to providing access to the arts for everyone. For more information see http://www.derbyquad.co.uk/participate/outreach-projects
